Check out these 31 Bookish Blogtober Post Ideas!
It has arrived! The best month of the year is here, October. It is finally time to live my spooky dreams be spending my whole day reading spooky books, watching spooky movies, and drinking pumpkin spiced drinks. There is nothing cozier than October.
With October also comes Blogtober, a wonderful and busy month for a lot of bloggers. I am not only participating in Blogtober on this blog, but I am also participating on my lifestyle blog, Jackie Em. This will be my third year on my book blog and my second year on both blogs, and I couldn’t be more excited.
With 3 years of bookish Blogtober posts under my belt, I understand the work that goes into this month. I also understand how difficult it can be to come up with 31 ideas to fill the entire month with content. So, I wanted to formulate a list of 31 bookish Blogtober post ideas that anyone can feel free to steal or use as a bounce off for something even more fun and creative.
What is Blogtober?
Blogtober is an event that has been held in the blogosphere for many years, where content creators challenge themselves to create a blog post every single day in October.
Most people try to fill their blog with only fall/Halloween content during this month, but you can post whatever you want.
Why Participate in Blogtober?
I chose to participate in Blogtober my first year to challenge myself. If you know this blog, you know that I often go into accidental month-long hiatus periods, where I don’t post. These are never on purpose, and I always end up feeling worse about myself and my blog. So when I learned about Blogtober, I really just wanted to see if I could do it. I wanted to see if I could create that much content. When I succeeded I was incredibly proud of myself.
The reason I see most people do Blogtober is the engagement it creates, and I 100% agree with this as well. While my views per month are usually in the 200/300 during the year, my numbers last October went into the 1,000s with 1,657 views and 1,239 visitors in the month of October alone, as you can see below.
I don’t have the most traffic in the world, but the boost in October certainly feels good.
Last, but certainly not least, is the community aspect of Blogtober. One of my favorite parts of the month is seeing all the content that my fellow book bloggers are putting out. I add a ridiculous amount of books to my TBR, and I love all the lists and discussions that this community has this month. We are all in this together, so getting to engage and support other bookworms every day has to be the best part.
