The TBR Tag

Good afternoon!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Today, I am going to be doing the TBR Tag, something I saw on Time Traveling Reader. I have a VERY long TBR right now. It is a very high number on Goodreads, and that is after going through and removing some…

So, I figured this tag will allow me to further consolidate which books I really want to read, and which ones I can get rid of.

Clicking on the title of each book will bring you to book depository. This is an affiliate link, meaning that I will make a small commission on every purchase made through this link, with no impact on you. Thank you!

How do you keep track of your TBR?

Goodreads! This is especially helpful because I have a lot of books that I don’t own but still want to read, so I keep track of them there. I also have a specific shelf that I keep my high priority physical TBR, so I can easily access them when I am ready for another book.

Is your TBR mostly print or e-books?

Print. I usually only read ARCs in the electronic platform. However, I did get a kindle a couple of months ago so this is changing a bit.

How do you decide which book from your TBR to read next?

I am a MOOD READER! I have tried setting which books I will read next and it never works out. So usually, when I finish a book, I will walk up to my shelf and see which one sparks my fancy. I will also prioritize ARC copies that I need to finish.

A book that has been on your TBR the longest.

Red Rising by Pierce Brown

A book that you recently added to your TBR.

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

I am so intrigued by the premise of this book, and I have heard so many good things about it!

A book on your TBR strictly because it has a beautiful cover.

Cantique by Joanna Marsh

Okay, I definitely love the premise of this book because it sounds like something I will deeply connect to, being a dancer who started later in life. However, I am not afraid to say that I was absolutely attracted to this book because of the gorgeous cover. I mean look at it. How could I not resist?

A book on your TBR that you never actually plan on reading.

I am confused. Isn’t the point of a TBR is to be a list of books I want to read? Plus, I just went through my TBR list and got rid of some so… I don’t have an answer to this question.

An unpublished book on your TBR that you are excited for.

Have you heard me talk about this book enough yet? What can I say? I am attracted to ALL the WORDS! SO MANY WORDS! Also… dragons!

A book on your TBR that everyone else has read but you.

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

A book on your TBR that you are DYING to read.

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro

The number of books on your TBR.

258…

I tag…

Everyone who has a TBR! Go crazy!

  1. All the Bright Places is on my list too, so you’re not the only one who hasn’t read it yet.
I like to keep track on Goodreads and mood read as well. Set TBRs are too hard for me to stick to.

  2. Mood reading is the only way to read! 👌🏻 I also haven’t read The Bone Season, I need to get on that hype!!

    1. Thank you! I have seen The Year After You around and I am definitely interested in it!
I think I put Red Rising on my Goodreads TBR shelf way back when I made my account haha! So it has been a long time lol!

  3. Yay! I am so glad to here that. The Red Rising series honestly sounds so interesting to me. I can’t wait to read it.
I have never heard of To be Taught, If Fortunate. I will have to look it up!
