The Netflix Book Tag

Hello all!

So, I have a bit of a backlog when it comes to blog tags, so bear with me while I make my way through! This one, by far, has to be one of my favorites because… I love Netflix. I will admit it with pride! Anyway, bringing two of my loves together, reading and Netflix, is like a match made in Jackie heaven! So let’s see where this takes me!

I was tagged to do this by Sarah from Book Hooked Nook! Go check out this beautiful blog for more bookish fun! Thank you so much, Sarah, for this fun tag!

Clicking on the title of each book with bring you to book depository, a site where you can purchase the book. This is an affiliate link, meaning I will receive a small commission from every purchase made through the link, with no additional charge to yourself. Thank you for your support!

Recently Watched: The last book you finished reading

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I gave it 5/5 stars!

Top Picks: A book/books that have been recommended to you based on books you have previously read

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
I gave it 3/5 stars… I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped

Recently Added: The last book you bought

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro

Popular on Netflix: Books that everyone knows about (2 you’ve read and 2 you have no interest in reading)

These two are quite literally my top two favorite books!

I have my reasons, but I am not interested in either of these two.

Comedies: A funny book

Lily and the Octopus by Steven Rowley

Listen, this book was really sad, but I laughed through the entire time. I don’t know. Also, the ending is to die for!

Dramas: A character who is a drama queen/king

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

I mean, President Snow is literally the MOST dramatic. He has a taste for the flare in life.

Animated: A book with cartoons on the cover

Becoming the Dragon by A. Sapegin (#gifted)

Watch it Again: A book/book series that you want to re-read

The Gemma Doyle series by Libba Bray

I read this series when I was in middle-school. I remember nothing about it other than absolutely loving it!

Documentaries: A non-fiction book you’d recommend to everyone

I selected this book, mainly, because I really enjoyed reading the style of narration that Mazo placed on the lives of these historical figures. I also picked it because I think more people need to be aware of the impact that these names had on American culture, not only dance culture. Also… I just really like dance, okay?

Action and Adventure: An action-packed book

The Progeny by Tosca Lee (#gifted)

From the first chapter to the last page, this book was a wild ride. The sequel was just as crazy. I gave this book 5/5 stars! You can find my review here!

New Releases: A book that just came out, or will be coming out soon, that you can’t wait for

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

I am literally so excited about this book you have no idea! So many words about so many fabulous things like dragons! I can’t wait!

I Tag…

Ashley from Bubbly Booknerd

Jules from One More Word

Luana from Book Storm

Let’s Talk!

Do we have any similar answers?

What shows have you been watching on Netflix?

Can you recommend any non-fiction books? (I don’t read this genre very often)

Let me know in the comments below!

Love,

Jackie

        1. Ah! That sounds so fun! I love buddy reading series together. I did it with The Hunger Games one time and the exact same thing happened. The other person got i a slump so we paused haha! Well I am glad you are getting back to the third!

  1. That definitely sounds like something I would love to read or listen to. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I also have heard a lot about Neil Gaiman, and I was hoping to read something of him soon.
