The Hocus Pocus Readathon is Back for Round 2!

Omg, tomorrow marks the first day of fall… FINALLY. I have been ready for this since August, so it is hard to believe that it is here! Don’t get me wrong, I have been drinking my pumpkin spice lattes since August, but now people can’t judge me anymore!

One of the staples of autumn for me is Halloween movies! I love them all, from the scary to the adorable, I love Halloween movies. Especially Disney Halloween movies! One of the classics is Hocus Pocus. With it playing on Freeform like 100 times during the month of October, it is pretty hard to miss it each year. I don’t even want to count the amount of times I have seen this movie… it is a lot.

Well, Last year, a couple of other book lovers got together to host a readathon dedicated to Hocus Pocus! It was seriously so much fun last year, we were so excited to do it again this year. We were already planning it in July!

If you think this might be something you are interested in, keep reading! All of the information will be included down below!

Strengths and Weaknesses!

Each team has a strength and weakness that will help and hinder in this readathon!

Team Sanderson Sisters

Strength: You cast a spell of speed to catch those pesky children. You can skip one prompt and still get the points

Weakness: People know about the history of the Sanderson sisters, you must go into hiding. You can’t read for a whole 24 hours

Team Undead

Strength: You are now the Ghost of Emily Binx. No one can see you, you get to be stealthy. You may double up on one prompt of your choosing.

Weakness: Unfortunately, Billy only has 24 hours until he must go back to his grave. You must have a 24-hour readathon

Team Trick or Treaters

Strength: You deserve something sweet! You may trade a prompt with another team’s prompt of your choice!

Weakness: Hurry! You have to rush back home for curfew. You must read one book only during the day time.

Bonus Points!

For every 100 pages you read for this readathon, you earn 2 points for your team!

Can’t wait to see all of your TBRs!

  1. YAY for all things Halloween! I’ve compulsively refreshing the Netflix news for about two weeks now, waiting for the avalanche of horror movies to flood my feed. Nice to get to know another Houcs Pocus fan out there!
