Here I am, coming at you with me fourth book tag of the season, The Autumn Book Tag! Are you proud of me? Spoiler alert, I have at least 6 more fall book tags coming, so be prepared! I am having way too much fun with them, and honestly, they give me content. 31 days is a lot to fill! Blogtober has been stretching every creative muscle in my body.
Also, if you can tell, I gave my blog a little remodeling! He looks pretty fancy, doesn’t he? A new coat of paint always feels good!
Anyway, I found this tag on The Quirky Book Nerd, so go check them out for fantastic bookish content.

What is your favorite thing about autumn?
Honestly, the pumpkins. I have a little bit of an obsession with pumpkins. They are by far the cutest gourd out there. They are so plump and they come in such a wide range of colors. I love them, and I think they should be called plumpkins. Anyway, during this time of year, there are so many pumpkin things out there. Pumpkin food, pumpkin decorations, and REAL PUMPKINS! It is my time to shine.
What book reminds you of your school days?
This book reminds me so much of school. Unfortunately, we didn’t actually read it in school… I would die! But, I have a distinct memory of sitting in the middle of a busy plaza at school and reading this in the morning before class. I was completely oblivious to the world around me, and that is one of the most glorious feelings. It was one of the first books that prompted me to do that, which is why this memory is so salient in my mind.
What cover reminds you of autumn?
Oh my, there are so many lovely autumnal book covers, I can’t believe I have to pick just one! Well, I did do a whole blog post on this, so I guess I don’t. But, for the sake of this post, I am going to select this beautiful cover. I bought this back in February, but it has always put me in the fall mood with the vivid orange and yellow colors. This is the book I am planning on reading in November. I am not putting any other book on my TBR because this book is a MONSTER!
What is your favorite horror or Halloween story?
Honestly, I am a fan of anything with ghosts. However, I am going to select The Woman in Black. Although I have never read the book, the movie is so subtle yet terrifying, and I love it.
What is your favorite horror or Halloween film?
I am going with some major classics for this question. It is non-negotiable that I watch all 4 Halloweentown movies and both Twitches movies each Autumn season. Both of these were such a huge part of my childhood, and they are probably the main reason I am such a spooky fan! I was raised to be the way I am! Also, they both still slap, despite them being 15-20 years old now.
What fall book release are you looking forward to?
Although The Ninth House has already come out, I am anticipating the day I can finally hold it in my hands. Well, I guess I can say that was today because I saw it at Target and I held it in my hands. But… you know what I mean! This sounds like such a lovely and dark read, I can’t wait!
What autumn movie releases are you anticipating?
I haven’t really been interested in going to the movies lately. I spend more time at home, watching movies. I get to be in my PJs, I can pause the movie as much as I like, and I can have cheaper snacks. It is all a win! But, I recently lost my Addams Family virginity by watching the 1991 film version, and I loved it. I think I would really enjoy this animated version that is hitting theatres this month. I blame The Addams Family Book Tag for my new love for this spooky family!
What are the three books you plan to read this autumn?
These are only three of the many books I was planning on reading this month. All of them equal parts spooky and creepy, or so I hear. You can see my full October TBR here!
Okay, now that we have talked about Halloweentown, I think I am going to go watch ALL of the movies. Who needs sleep right?
