Are you Ready for Sweater Weather?

First of all, I am always ready for sweater weather, but that is beside the point. I saw this tag on The Bookish Chick and decided to complete it on my blog! I was obsessed with the delicious prompts! I love me some tasty fall foods and fun autumn activities. Okay, now my mouth is watering, so I should get this done and go grab me a snack!

Also, I am trying to see how many fall/Halloween book tags I can do in one month! So, stay tuned at the end of the month for the final count. This is number 2!

Hot Chocolate: What is your comfort book?

Book covers of The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins

It is undeniable how much I love this series. Even thinking about the characters and setting makes me feel warm and cozy. These are the books I go back to when I am feeling down or I am in the midst of a reading slump. They are always there for me.

Pumpkin Carving: What is your favorite creative outlet?

Gif of dancer reading

One of my favorite things in the world is activating my creativity. Dance is one of my major passions, considering I just received my B.A. in it. I also love to write, which is something I found more recently. Both of these activities take up 95% of my creative energies, the other 5% is occupied by my random crafts and DIY projects.

Falling Leaves: Changes that appear bad but you secretly love?

I’ll just put it out there, I hate change… I HATE it! So, it is a big no for me. I mean, sure I can make this positive and say I love when the leaves change color but overall, in my life, I hate change.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte: Something you love that others tend to judge?

This was another tough question for me to answer because I try really hard to not care what other people think. Would it be a cop-out to say pumpkin-spiced lattés because I do love those? Anyways, when I was in highschool I was a MASSIVE fan of One Direction. (I still am, so you can imagine the pain I am constantly in.) However, as an adult, I could care less about what others think of my One Direction obsession. I shall be a Directioner for life!

Bonfire Night: What makes you explode with joy?

My two babies! They are quite literally my world. I have had dogs my entire life, and I couldn’t imagine a day without them, which might become a reality in the next couple of years. Literally every mundane, or should I say canine, thing they do fills me with so much joy that I feel like bursting. LOOK AT THEIR FACES!

Fright Night: Favorite scary film or book?

Movie poster for The Woman in Black

This is one of my all-time favorite horror movies, which also happens to be a book. Although, I have not read the book, I love the atmosphere and the spookiness of the movie. It is quieter than other horror movies, and I love that.

Halloween Candy: Favorite thing to eat?

Does it count if I say coffee? I have been drinking a lot of iced-coffee lately. I also add a dash of pumpkin-spiced syrup! So delicious. But, if we are talking about food, I have been in the mood for muddy buddies a lot recently. Oh, and cereal, lots of cereal.

Scarves: Your must-have accessory?

Books and a sweater

My sweaters! Not the hit the title of this tag too on the nose, but I cannot survive the fall season without my sweaters, and I have quite the collection. I feel like an outfit isn’t complete during autumn without a sweater or a cardigan. Why else would it be called sweater weather?

Fire: A book or film that burns your soul?

Book cover of Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Do I really need to explain why this burns my soul? I won’t give spoilers for the people who have been living under a rock, but let’s just say, there were some deaths that I still mourn to this day.

Toffee Apples: A book or film that seems one thing but really has a different inside?

Book cover of Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire

Honestly, I had no idea what I should have expected when going into this book, but I got so much more. This novella is stuffed with so much heart, and the characters were so relatable and fleshed out. This may look like a short fantast novel from the outside but it is so much deeper than that.

Like I said, now I’m hungry. I think I am going to go get myself a cup of tea and a muffin. These questions were super unique! So different from most of the tags out there, and I loved completing it! The sum it up, I AM ready for sweater weather, but we knew that from the beginning.

Love, Jackie
