50 Bookish Questions Tag

Hello! Hi! Howdy!

I found this tag a very very very long time ago and I have finally decided to give it a try. I wasn’t officially tagged but… oh well! I hope this gives you a bit of insight into my reading habits and likes. 🙂 I know there are a lot of questions so bare with me!

What was the last book you read?

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

Was it a good one?

I loved it! I listened to it on audiobook and loved the narrator (It sucks when a good book has a bad narrator). I gave it 4/5 stars. The characters were so unique and the romance was precious!

What made it good?

Oh… I guess I explain this in the previous question… Oh well

Would you recommend it to other people?

Of course!

How often do you read?

Everyday. As much as I can (which isn’t much when you factor in classes, work, etc.) But I usually want to read a little a day.

Do you like to read?

Duh!

What was the last bad book you read?

I like to find something good in each book I read so I can’t think of a bad book. I had trouble getting through Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I have put it down for a little bit but I hope to pick it up soon! It has been a long time though so maybe I will like it now. Thoughts?

What made you dislike it?

It wasn’t that it was a bad book I was just not in a place to read that style of book. I don’t really know, to be honest. It took me way too long to read any of it.

Do you wish to be a writer?

I love to write. I write a lot during my free time. Well that is probably an exaggeration… I have yet to show anyone my work because I am still rather new to writing. But I hope to show someone sometime in my future. It would be pretty awesome as a career!

Has any book ever influenced you greatly?

This may sound weird but I adored the book The Big Green Pocketbook by Candice F. Ransom. Does anyone know it? It is hard to explain but I think it explains a lot about me.

Has a book ever transported you somewhere else?

Really all books take me to new places. The Harry Potter series did an incredible job of transporting the audience to the wizarding world and integrating the reader into all of the details of it.

It honestly changes so often. Sometimes it takes me a month to read a book and sometimes, like January, I can read seven books in a month.

Do you like when books become movies?

I love it! obviously sometimes it does not go how the reader would like it to go but I often love how the producers and directors adapt a large novel into the length of a movie. It is also interesting to see their individual interpretation of the movie, even if it is different from my own. Also, movies can make me love the book more. If i really love the book than a movie can quench my thirst for more.

Which book was ruined by its movie adaption?

I don’t like saying that they ruin it. I just think it is a drastically different interpretation. I can still appreciate the book while enjoying the movie.
