Hello! Hi! Howdy!
I found this tag a very very very long time ago and I have finally decided to give it a try. I wasn’t officially tagged but… oh well! I hope this gives you a bit of insight into my reading habits and likes. 🙂 I know there are a lot of questions so bare with me!
What was the last book you read?
Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda
Was it a good one?
I loved it! I listened to it on audiobook and loved the narrator (It sucks when a good book has a bad narrator). I gave it 4/5 stars. The characters were so unique and the romance was precious!
What made it good?
Oh… I guess I explain this in the previous question… Oh well
Would you recommend it to other people?
Of course!
How often do you read?
Everyday. As much as I can (which isn’t much when you factor in classes, work, etc.) But I usually want to read a little a day.
Do you like to read?
Duh!
What was the last bad book you read?
I like to find something good in each book I read so I can’t think of a bad book. I had trouble getting through Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I have put it down for a little bit but I hope to pick it up soon! It has been a long time though so maybe I will like it now. Thoughts?
What made you dislike it?
It wasn’t that it was a bad book I was just not in a place to read that style of book. I don’t really know, to be honest. It took me way too long to read any of it.
Do you wish to be a writer?
I love to write. I write a lot during my free time. Well that is probably an exaggeration… I have yet to show anyone my work because I am still rather new to writing. But I hope to show someone sometime in my future. It would be pretty awesome as a career!
Has any book ever influenced you greatly?
This may sound weird but I adored the book The Big Green Pocketbook by Candice F. Ransom. Does anyone know it? It is hard to explain but I think it explains a lot about me.
Do you read fanfiction?
No. I used to but I have not in forever.

I prefer physical copies of books but I use my nook and phone to keep books with me when I am traveling and can find random seconds to read a bit. I also review eARCs a lot.

Who is your favorite character in a book series?
President Snow from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Don’t ask…
Has a book ever transported you somewhere else?
Really all books take me to new places. The Harry Potter series did an incredible job of transporting the audience to the wizarding world and integrating the reader into all of the details of it.
Which book do you wish has a sequel?
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Which book do you wish didn’t have a sequel?
I can’t think of one right now but I’m sure I will as soon as I post this.
How long does it take you to read a book?
It honestly changes so often. Sometimes it takes me a month to read a book and sometimes, like January, I can read seven books in a month.
Do you like when books become movies?
I love it! obviously sometimes it does not go how the reader would like it to go but I often love how the producers and directors adapt a large novel into the length of a movie. It is also interesting to see their individual interpretation of the movie, even if it is different from my own. Also, movies can make me love the book more. If i really love the book than a movie can quench my thirst for more.
Which book was ruined by its movie adaption?
I don’t like saying that they ruin it. I just think it is a drastically different interpretation. I can still appreciate the book while enjoying the movie.
Which movie has done a book justice?
I honestly love the adaptions of The Hunger Games series. I might be biased though…

Which books do you consider ‘classics’?
That is a tough question. I think classics have stood the test of time and can teach something valuable today that was relevant at the time it was written. I also believe this question can have a lot of different opinions that are all valid. I don’t know.
Which books do you think should be taught in every school?
It can be different books that teach the same value. I don’t even know.
Which books should be banned from all school?
I think all books have a purpose. Everyone should have access to information that is out in the world.

Love,
Jackie
