June Wrap-Up

June was a very stressful/uneventful month. Those two words don’t really work together, but here we are. As you may expect, this is going to be a small wrap-up. I told myself I was pulling out of the reading slump I was in, but I think that was a lie. I fell right back in, deeper than ever. Therefore… I didn’t manage to read much of anything this month.

But, I did manage to do something really big and exciting this month! Keep reading to find out what that is!

Books I Read

I received a copy of the audiobook of The Crystilleries of Echoland by Dew Pellucid for review. I struggled through this book but I think this book would be fantastic for readers between the ages of 11-13. I didn’t rate in on Goodreads, because I was definitely not the right audience for this book. It was one of those books that I was happy to finish.

Books I Added to my Collection

I can’t even tell you how much I have heard about this book. Some friends of mine have recommended this book to me profusely, so of course, when I went to the book store, this was one of the first books I picked up. There have been a lot of Beauty and the Beast retellings in YA, and I don’t have a lot of interest in the book, but I have heard such amazing things about this one. I hope it lives up to the hype.

The premise of The Devouring Gray by Christine Lynne Herman has some SERIOUS Stranger Things vibes. As a fa of the show, I knew I had to pick up a copy of this book. Also, look at the cover! So creepy! I just need to decide if I read this during the summer or wait until October, and read it during the spooky season.

Knowing me, it will be years before I actually read this one. I am constantly trying to catch up on my TBR!

Important June Update

Now, on to the fun part…

I. Have. Finally. Gone. To. SELF-HOSTED!!!!

I have been thinking about doing this for almost a year now. But I have finally done it! I am officially self-hosted. You can find my website at the new and improved address…

www.bookishcoffeeblog.com

If you can’t tell, I am pretty excited about this! Now that I am self-hosted, I am dedicated to working on my blog, and making it the best I can. Through this process, I hit some road bumps, but I am so proud that I have been able to overcome each one, figuring out what I need to do, with the help of nice internet people. I am learning so much about the workings of a website, and I am enjoying the process as it goes!

I wanted to thank each and every one of you, who continually read and support my blog, for sticking with me through this. I love you all!

Like I said, this month was stressful and uneventful at the same time. But, I guess it was a little eventful too. I have a lot of goals for this next month, including reading a ton to catch up on my Goodreads challenge! Check back next week to find out if I can do it!
