February OwlCrate Unboxing

Hi hi!

For my birthday, my beautiful wonderful mother gifted me three months of OwlCrate!!!! I am so excited I have been wanting a bookish subscription box for years! My first one was the February box, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! It was full to the brim with adorable, useful, and fun bookish items. AND I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE BOOK!!!!!!

Anyway! I figured I would do a small unboxing of sorts on my blog, where I can further discuss my love for these items haha! You can see my overview of it on my Bookstagram

The Book!

The book of the month for February is Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto. This is a gorgeous exclusive signed edition… with sprAYED EDGES!!! They are beautiful. Purple. Majestic.

This book looks amazing! Am I the only one who has never read a book about Phoenixes? I am obsessed. I never knew this was missing from my life until I received this book in the box. This book has sisters, war, and the Mulan trope! (A dream book… really)

The Bookish Items!

This was the first thing you see when you open the box. This beautifully created and designed beanie proclaiming a spell we all wish we could cast… ACCIO BOOKS! It was designed by the OwlCrate team and Michelle Gray! It is so comfy and cozy and just warms my heart… and my head!

This beautiful item was the second thing I pulled out of the box. If you are in California, you know how useful this has been! I honestly have the coolest umbrella at my university (insert shrugging emoji). It is beautifully illustrated, featuring various magical beasts from the Harry Potter series. It was designed by Anne Lambelet. I was admiring all the beautiful creatures when I saw Fluffy, the three headed dog, and that was when I realized that it was Harry Potter themed! I am in love with this umbrella.

Next, we have the gorgeous aqua blue sparkly soap, something I didn’t know I needed until now. It is a Pixie Dust Crystal Soap, created by Leeloo’s Bath and Body. Honestly so in love with this soap, and I can’t wait to use it!

This small, gold keychain is inspired by the film, Spirited Away. I am going to be honest, my sister used to watch Spirited Away all the time and I was terrified of it. Nightmares. I was scared. But… I actually love this keychain. I think the design, by Four Season’s Fox, is absolutely gorgeous and I love the dragon! I have already placed this keychain on my keys!

This has to be one of my favorite features of this box. I absolutely love enamel pins, so I was so happy to see that OwlCrate decided to put one in each box. Anyway, who doesn’t want to be a part of the “Official Phoenix Riding Club?” The illustration is done by the incredibly talented Ink and Wonder Designs.

There was also an exclusive edition of The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O,Neill included. This is an adorable graphic novel, published by Oni Press, featuring adorable small dragons. You can’t see from this picture, but the artwork is to die for! I can’t wait to read my first graphic novel about these adorable baby dragons.

Toping off the February box was this adorable feather book mark with a quote from the book of the month. This quote is…perfect. This, along with the author note, makes me even more excited to read the book.

Can you believe the theme for March’s box, which have already begun shipping out? MURDER & MAYHEM!!! I am so excited to see what that means! This box is going to include a ceramic travel mug and a candle! I am so excited!

This has been such a pleasure to unbox and rave about these amazing products. I couldn’t have asked for a better first box and I look forward to two more!

Check this space out for an unboxing of the March box coming soon!

  1. Such a jam packed box! I’ve never got a bookish subscription box before, probably because I am so picky!

    1. Haha it really was! I was very impressed. That is what I am always worried about. I mean, this is my first one lol, but sometimes I see things in subscription boxes that I wouldn’t like at all lol!
