Becoming a Librarian: The Magical Readathon TBR

Around April, for the past couple of years, the book community has been flooded with posts about people taking their OWLs, and studying for exams at Hogwarts. It feels like we have all been transported into the pages of Harry Potter. Thanks to the wonderful Book Roast on Youtube, we have.

Every year, in April, there is a month-long readathon based on the magical world of Harry Potter, where readers get to choose a career path and take exams (read books) to work towards that goal.

Ever since I have been in the book community, I have always wanted to join this readathon. There was always something in my life keeping me away, but guess what? Most of us are in lock-down right now, due to that pesky and terrifying virus that I am not even going to name. (Side note: if you are an essential worker, thank you for everything you have been doing and stay safe!) So, I have PLENTY of time and plenty of motivation, giving me the opportunity to finally participate!

You can learn more about this readathon on the readathon’s twitter page! It is already a week into the readathon but you can absolutely join! You’ll just have to study a little harder!

Anyway, here is my TBR for the very wonderful and very magical readathon

I tried to pick books I am genuinally excited about reading to ensure I actually read them. So, it is easy to say that I am incredibly excited for this TBR.

Are you participating in the Magical Readathon? If so, what career have you chosen?

Have you read any of these books? What were your thoughts on them?

Love, Jackie
