I love what fall brings. It brings the revitalization of my love of reading. Don’t ask me why, but I always seem to go on reading frenzies this time of year. It might be the last push to finish my 2020 reading goal, or it might be the colder weather, but you can often find my snuggled up with a good book and a warm mug of coffee.
It seems that this time of year also brings the best books. Some of my favorite novels came out during the fall months. Maybe because it is the time for fantasy and dark gothic books, some of my favorite genres. Whatever the case, I am so excited to read these books. My TBR is already obnoxiously long, but I will never stop adding to it! I should probably do a TBR clear out soon…

Broken Wish by Julie C. Dao
I actually had no idea about this book until I received an ARC of it, from YALLWEST. But witches in a small town in Germany? How could I resist! You know I love a good fantasy story, especially this time of year! Stay tuned for my review of this one coming!

I am going to be honest, the first thing that attracted me to this book was the cover. Just look at it! It’s gorgeous. But also, whenever I hear “atmospheric contemporary fantasy,” I am immediately adding that book to my TBR.

The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow
Title: The Once and Future Witches

What can I say? I like witches. Bonus, this book is a historical fantasy set in 1893, and I have been wanting to read more historical fantasy! I find it a fascinating genre that i haven’t really stepped my feet in yet!
Okay, the book cover designers this year have been on fire. Look at literally every single one of these covers. They match my aesthetic so much, I am so in love! I want to display each and every one of these in a prominent spot on my bookshelves!
Anyway, I am super excited about these, there are so many amazing books coming out this month, I am sure I will not read any of them for years knowing my track record! I mean look at last year’s “October New Releases” post… I have read a total of 0 of those, and it has been a whole year. That’s horrible.
What are some releases you are excited for this month? Any of them on this list? Let me know in the comments below!
