Look, I am just going to say it, burritos are the best food in the world. So much flavor wrapped in a soft tortilla. OMG I am so hungry now!
I was tagged to do this tag by The Literary Phoenix! Go check out their blog, which is so stinking beautiful! Also, check out their answers to this book tag here!

Rice| the foundation: The book that got you into reading
I could have cared less about reading before I read this book. I will always hold this series in a special place in my heart.
Beans| the filler: The book with a whole lot of nothing
Hey, burritos would be nothing without beans! They are not a whole lot of nothing!
Okay, I’m done defending beans.
I honestly feel bad putting this book, because I really wanted to enjoy it. But I felt like this book was way too long for not much actually happening.
Protein| the building block: A book quote to live by
“Hope is the only thing stronger than fear.”
Suzanne Collins
I know, it’s cheesy. But I love this quote so much, and it has honestly helped me through a lot of tough times.
Fajitas| the crunch of texture: A book with immaculate world-building
I am actually going to steal my answer from The Literary Phoenix here! I cannot get enough of Erin Morgenstern’s world-building. Both The Starless Sea and The Night Circus were masterclasses in writing beautiful worlds. I will forever have Erin Morgenstern on my auto-buy author list.
Salsa | the dance of flavor: A book that kept you on your toes
Mirage by Somaiya Daud was so incredible and surprising. I had no idea what I was getting into when I read this book, but I definitely found a new favorite. I can’t wait to read the sequel, which comes out very soon!
Corn | the explosion of sweetness: A memorable scene with frienship or romance
I don’t think I could pull a specific scene from this book because it was overflowing with sweet romance and friendship. I loved Ever, the main character, and was glad to see her find supportive people in her life.
Cheese | The bond of calcium: Two characters from different books you wish could be friends
I would love to see the entire cast of characters from both of these books to meet and hang out. i just feel like it would be such a fun group, and I would love to read a book about it. Let’s have a collab between Adiba Jaigirdar and Leah Johnson!
Sour Cream | The tangy topper: The quirkiest character you’ve ever read (protagonist or supportive)
Chloe brown is one of the quirkiest and loveliest characters I have ever read. I truly loved all the little things the author added into her character like her love of stationary. I am a sucker for good characterization, and Talia Hibbert created a beautiful cast of characters with this book. I can’t wait to read more about Dani Brown!
Guacamole | The cost of creaminess: A book you paid too much for
I guess I could answer this with any book I bought and didn’t like. I chose Stalking Jack the Ripper because it was one I was really hoping to love and ended up being majorly disappointed.
Lettuce | The handful of crispness: A refreshing concept/theme in a book
This was so easy to answer. In this book, one of the main characters has anxiety. I have anxiety, and it was absolutely wonderful to see a strong main character in a fantasy novel with anxiety. Like, yes!
Chips | Le Piece de Resistance: A must read recommendation
This book is beautiful. It is one of my all time favorites, and something I will recommend to many.
Tabasco | The kick to the face: Your favorite action sequence
I am going to be honest with you, I am not a fan of action scenes, at all. I find them really boring and tend to breeze over them. But, A Curse so Dark and Lonely never actually bored me, and there is a good amount of action in it. So that must mean something.
I am so hungry for a burrito right now. But it is currently the middle of the night… so I don’t think it is possible.
This was such a fun and unique tag! I tag every single person who is craving a burrito right now. Maybe making a bookish burrito will take the edge off your craving. (I warn you, it doesn’t… it makes it worse.)
Let me know down below if any of our answers to these questions are the same! I would love to know!
This tag, honestly, creates an immediate-need-for-a-burrito response in me. XD I can’t remember the last time I had one, either, and now I am dying.
So many good books on this list! I am super behind the times, but I FINALLY just read You Should See Me In A Crown and Leah Johnson can take my money for everything and more. What a great, complicated, REAL cast of characters. Can’t wait for more from her. 🙂
UGh right! I was like… someone buy me a burrito immediately! And yesss! I seriously can’t wait for Leah Johnson to write more! The characters were incredible, and I just want to protect them with my whole heart.
I’m so glad you had fun with our tag! 🙂
It was so unique and creative! I loved it!
