Every month, I feel like there are more and more anticipated releases. How am I ever going to finish my TBR if I am adding 50 books to it each month? The math just doesn’t work out. But, I guess this is the life of a bookworm, right?
October is looking to be an exciting month in the realm of YA, especially for fantasy lovers like myself. This is also my favorite time of year to read fantasy, wrapped in a fluffy blanket with a cup of hot coffee next to me. The good news is, these are all released at the beginning of October, so, no waiting around for these exciting reads.
Title: Resurrection Girls
Author: Ava Morgyn
Publish Date: October 1, 2019
I mean, look at this spooky cover! What a perfect book to read during the Halloween month! Of course, I am not judging the book by the cover (although I am), but I am also obsessed with the premise. Click here to visit the Goodreads page, but basically, it involves creepy letter writing, friends, and three generations of magical woman. What more could you ask for? Oh, and the pretty cover. Did I mention that?
Title: Crier’s War
Author: Nina Varela
Publish Date: October 1, 2019
I have been hearing a slight buzzing around the book community over the past couple weeks about this one, and if you know me, you know I am a sucker for hype. So, of course, this one has been promptly added to my TBR. Honestly, I am down to read anything about a kingdom ravaged by war, and evil leaders coming to take things that don’t belong to them. You can click here to see the Goodreads page.
Title: Marrow Charm
Author: Kristin Jacques
Publish date: October 1, 2019
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1,000 times… look at this cover! But of course, that isn’t the only reason I read books… maybe. It has a little zombie action with a little witch action and all-around fun! You can learn more about it here, on the Goodreads page.
Title: The Beautiful
Author: Rennée Ahdieh
Publish Date: October 8, 2019
With the popularity of The Wrath and the Dawn, there is no wonder there is so much excitement over this release! Although I am not the biggest fan of this cover, I am going to listen to the wise and not judge the book by its cover, because this one sounds amazing! Basically, it is New Orleans in the 19th century, full of dead people. If that intrigues you, click here to visit the Goodreads page!
These four books are on the top of my anticipated releases list for this month, although there are so many more books that could be included on this list. I hope this list gives you inspiration for October because it is looking like it is going to be a spooky reading month!
OK so Resurrection Girls has just gone straight on my TBR. It sounds excellent.
I’m hoping to get The Beautiful in a book box this month, fingers crossed it’s good because when I heard the author talk about it at YALC I loved the sound of it!
