Bonjour!
I was thinking the other day. Many of you only know about my love of reading and might be wondering what else I do with my life. Trust me… it is not a long list!
But… Just in case you are curious, I spend most of my day inside of a dance studio. I am currently studying the art of dance in college, which has been one of the best experiences of my life! I have met so many amazing artists and have been able to learn so much about my craft from some amazing and caring professors.
I did not start dancing until I was about 13 years old (on and off) and I only became serious about it when I was 15 years old. Most people start when they are 3-5 so I have had a lot of catching up to do. I honestly feel like I have grown so much as a dancer and as a person since I entered the dance department at my college. I understand how to work at a deeper level for what I want. I still need to continue pushing towards my dreams and remember to appreciate every minute I have in a dance studio and not take anything for granted. I have such a love for the art form and want to be involved with it in some way for the rest of my life. Even before I started dancing I remember having an infatuation with the sport, constantly watching videos on youtube and trying to mimic the dancer’s movements. I even learned the basics of ballet using websites like youtube and about.com. I am so thankful that I now have the opportunity to study it in a traditional setting with other passionate dancers.
I still have much to do in order to achieve my goals but I have appreciated every small success that I have had and hope to continue with them!
