Blogoween Day 5
It is officially the weekend! I am so happy! We decorated our house today so I am feeling pretty good, even with the busy weekend that I am heading into. It is now time for another fall filled Blogoween post! The host is still Kaleena from Reader Voracious and the prompt is fictional monsters and creatures that you would not like to come in contact with in real life. Go check out the host’s post by clicking the link above!
Update: I fell asleep before I could post this, which is why I am posting it the day after. So, be prepared for two posts today!
Anyway, let’s get into the post!
Red Raven
(From City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab.) Schwab is so talented at descriptions and I was not disappointed when it came to this book. This character was described so clearly and I could easily imagine her in my head and it gave me the creeps. I know I am not a child anymore but I would not want to encounter the Red Raven.
Lizard Mutts
(From Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.) These creatures sound terrifying and looked even more terrifying in the movie! I can not imagine trying to run away from these creatures while running through a dark underground pathway. No thanks! Also, I think I am just bitter because of what they did to dear Finnick.
Queen Levana
(From Cinder by Marissa Meyer.) Now, I know she is technically not a monster or a creature and I know she is beautiful, but I would be terrified if I even came into contact with her. Hearing all the bad she has done, I would be terrified to look at her the wrong way.
Voldemort
(From Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J. K. Rowling.) I think this one is pretty obvious. He kills like a billion people. And… he looks like a snake. I hate snakes. I would be terrified even if I was a death eater.
I don’t seem to read a lot of books with creepy/scary monsters or creatures. More evil villain type vibes. Please comment if you have any recommendations because I would love the be terrified, especially this month!
Talk to me!
What creature creeps you out?
Do you like monsters or villains better?
Give me recommendations of scary monster books!
Let me know!
Love,
Jackie
I also love to be terrified. If you are interested in sci-fi and horror mashups, Contagion by Erin Bowman is creepy af.
Great list of creepies!
Ah! I have been keeping my eye on that one! I so need to check it out. Thank you for the reccommendation!
